Hi, I am Kevin Svoboda, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and the Director of Physical Therapy for Chiropractic Company.
Early in my career, I had the opportunity to manage and direct physical therapist-owned private practice clinics in southeastern Wisconsin. During this time, I provided care to athletes, injured workers, post-operative patients, patients with congenital abnormalities, as well as medically compromised patients. I then began to study health care delivery systems throughout the country by providing patient care and consulting services in Wisconsin, Illinois, Louisiana, Alaska, Arizona and California
Wanting to return to the Midwest,I took a position of managing outpatient physical therapy and occupational therapy clinics for a physician network of clinics in northwest suburbs of Chicago.
I then opened a multidisciplinary care private practice in suburban Chicago. This practice focused on providing an integrated approach to health care by uniting multiple disciplines under one roof including the disciplines of medicine, chiropractic, massage therapy, nutrition, acupuncture and athletic training, as well as physical therapy.
Over time, the practice evolved into offering specialty programs focusing on the treatment of conditions including medical weight management, vestibular dysfunction, and an entire spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions. After growing the practice to a point that it could be managed from a distance, I moved into additional leadership roles for large outpatient physical therapy companies working in roles such as clinical growth and development director and director of operations helping them grow their geographical footprint while also growing existing operations, clinical mentoring, business positioning, specialty programming development, clinical core competency training, compliance with clinical standards and practice growth, all while continuing with his clinical passion by carrying a caseload of patients.
As I was continuing my clinical and administrative career, I was also growing in the area of authoring articles for rehabilitation publications and regularly presenting on health-related and health care management topics. I also helped teach reimbursement specific standards in collaboration with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) through a series of web-based programs.
Beyond my work at the clinic level, I continue to develop new solutions for rehab professionals in the form of products, educational programs and software.
I continue an active relationship with Rosalind Franklin University / Chicago Medical School by maintaining an adjunct facultyrole which allows me the opportunity to regularly lecture and mentor students. I am also an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
In my free time, I enjoys spending time with my family by enjoying an active lifestyle through kayaking, biking, yoga and playing volleyball.
